The Internet Directory for English Language Improvement (2nd Edition)

The Internet Directory for English Language Improvement (2nd Edition) was compiled and published by the English division of the CCDMD. The Directory includes many resources for teachers, as well as for ESL students and all students conducting research and writing papers. The sites listed in the Directory are of obvious interest to English teachers, but many could also be of interest to teachers in a variety of disciplines including Humanities, History, and Communications. The Directory even includes two entries from Vanier: Learning Centre (highlighting the materials available to students for preparing for the English Exit Exam) and English Now: An Online Tutorial (also a producation of The Learning Centre).

I have a few paper copies of the Directory in my office so come visit me in F-207 if you would like one.

Changing the font size on webpages you view

I have had a few people comment on the font size used on this website. In fact, on this site, there is no “set” size – the size you see on your screen is a function of the size defined in your browser. Simply put, if you want to make the text bigger, you can. In either Internet Explorer or Firefox, click on “View” (top toolbar), scroll down to “text size” and either choose to “increase size” (in Firefox) or select a larger size (in Internet Explorer).
