Hi, both the English and French user guide links produce a not found (404) error. I have searched the REPTIC site but cannot find the documents. Anyone know where I can find these documents? Thanks.

I have been teaching online now for the past four years as well as face to face tutoring. I agree entirely with the views expressed in the article above. The greatest advantage of online tutoring lies in the ability to use Online training resources as well as Computer based teaching techniques which make the subject much more easier to understand and comprehend.
I do wish it is made compulsory in all schools.

The faculty could use help knowing some of these information technologies-- such as "Web 2.0 applications" and "editing text software," nevermind spreadsheet software and how to really get photos/videoclips/webpages uploaded for Omnivox. Most people tell me their kids taught them most of what they know. Some have got training by osmosis. I think the courses we are getting through the college need to be more on-going and better directed towards the everyday requirements of managing a classroom.

My progress so far:
1. I'm not yet sure whether I see the value in LinkedIn, other than for pure networking...still investigating.

2. Delicious is great and is making my life so much easier - when I see a page I like, I just click on the Delicious button on my browser and it's there for me and anyone else to see from anywhere.

3. Slideshare is great resource if you are preparing a training presentation. I just have to look into copyright issues. If the documents are licensed under Creative Commons, then as long as you include the original author, you can make adaptations and use the material - this would be fantastic!

4. Twitter seems to be pointless unless you have many people reading your tweets. Some educators love it, so maybe I'm missing something...

That's all for now. Any comments? Let me know!

I wonder how long until someone comes up a way to get around this.

Just think of all those "smart" people who have been using plagiarized information over the years, now with Turnitin perhaps there is some chance for those that actually study and produce original works to actually get some of the deserved praise.

No doubt those who are or have been submitting plagiarized information will also be aware that there are ways to "catch" them now and will spend a little more time editing and altering information which may in turn actually force them to learn more... Benefits all round.
