APOP First NetTalk Live: Come learn how to share …knowledge

Web 2.0 as a medium for sharing knowledge
Presented by Enrique Ruiz Velasco Sanchez, PhD
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010
12:00 Noon to 13:30 PM on APOP_online

At our first NetTalk event, Dr. Enrique Velasco will be on site from UNAM University in Mexico with his students (college teachers) to present his experience on using Web 2.0. He will explain collaborative knowledge building, why it is important, and how we can facilitate it by integrating widely available Web 2.0 tools in our classes. Dr. Velasco will give us many real-life examples how he uses these tools like wikis, blogs, Wikimedia, YouTube, Teamviewer and more to enhance learning.

Dr. Velasco, a member of the Mexican Academy of Science, is a graduate of Université de Montréal in Educational Technology. He teaches workshops and seminars to teachers to integrate TIC in the teaching.

Training on how to use the online VIA Platform prior to participating in an event is also available at no charge. Remember all English APOP online events will be available to you this year FREE of charge.

APOP’s online community is pleased to welcome you on board. You will meet new colleagues in your field online from other colleges and from other departments. You will gain access to expertise and experience from your peers, have access to the development of ICT internationally, and learn about new tools for teaching.

APOP would be thrilled to receive your suggestions or questions at itactivites@apop.qc.ca .

To participate to this first APOP Lunch and Learn, you can subscribe by using the online registration form.
